Ministry of Health, Elderly and Community Care - Malta
In September 2012 the Ministry of Health, Elderly and Community Care hosted the Sixty-second Session of the World Health Organisation Regional Committee of Europe.
This is a meeting for the fifty three member states which are represented at Ministerial level. For the Malta meeting we had fifty one member state delegations with twenty nine ministers attending. There were also a number international and non-governmental orgnisations that also attended. The Crown Princess of Denmark who is patron of the WHO European Region attended for the opening day of the meeting.
To support the Organising Committee within the Superintendence of Public Health, the Ministry engaged the services of culture3sixty to act as its Destination Management Company (DMC). Culture3sixty was responsible for the reception and transfer of the ministers, members of the delegations and all other participants from the airport to the respective hotels and back to the airport on their departure. The DMC was also responsible for the co-ordination and support for the technical part of the meeting as well as for the organisation of the logistic support for all the events of the meeting.
It was a great pleasure working with the Directors of culture3sixty, Mr Trevor Zahra and Ms Natasha Borg who throughout the planning and implementation phases showed a very professional approach. They were both readily available whenever needed and were always on site during any activity. They were both pleasant to work with and always willing to solve problems and adapt their plans to suit the needs and wishes of their customer. Above all they were discreet in their approach and were always looking at how to anticipate needs.
I can state without hesitation that they provided a service inclusive of all the things one would wish for when organising a conference.
